I’ve studied Russian language with Polina six hours a week, during three months. Thanks to her, I’ve been able to go from 0 knowledge of Russian – I couldn’t even read the cyrillic alphabet – to a level between A2 and B1.

She seemed a very professional teacher to me, only switching to English for the needs of very specific translations, both serious and flexible, always open to the suggestions of the students – for example when I expressed my wish to work with works from classical authors, she brought me accessible texts from Pushkin and Chekhov the next lesson. Thanks to her wise selection, I was able to translate those with her help. In general, I’d say she was able to raise motivation in me and, at the same time, she was experienced enough to funnel that motivation in the right direction, allowing me to progress faster than I expected.
